Model family

Mock briefingOne of the Maine families attending Family Advocacy Day had the opportunity to participate in a mock briefing this afternoon, led by Amy and conducted in front of the other attending families from around the country. This gave everyone a chance to see how their meetings might go tomorrow and to ask questions of Amy, who spent years on the Hill. Amy says usually  meetings last about 20 minutes, give or take, giving families a chance to introduce themselves, tell their story, ask for support of children’s hospitals and childrens’ special health care needs, and to leave behind any materials they might bring. N.A.C.H. made great baseball trading cards for all the kids again this year – they are always a big hit!

A big THANKS! to Barbara, Greg and Len for their help and participation in the mock briefing. They did a fantastic job!
