Day 1: Success!

Tonight’s “Star-Spangled Event” was spectacular!

The dinner party was like none other – decorated in red, white and blue, with live music, a toy store, magicians, cartoon artists, face painters, and even the opportunity to have your picture taken with “President Obama” (ok, so this was really a green screen you could stand in front of, and when the pictures were printed it looked like you were with the President. To the casual eye, it really looks legitimate!).

The kids (and parents) all really enjoyed themselves – the kids were extremely social amongst each other, introducing themselves to other children and families and trading baseball cards all night long.

After a night of eating, dancing, talking and playing, the families have turned in to get a good night’s sleep before the big day tomorrow.

Please check back throughout the day for updates on how the visits are going!

  1. Wow! You have all been busy! I missed getting on to check in last night and your progress and now I have a lot to catch up on!

  2. Sounds like a great day (and night…quite a fancy shindig!). Hope things continue to go really well down there.

Keep up the great work, everyone!
